Congress Should be hanged: Revanth

TDP senior leader Revant Reddy has said the Congress party should be made to stand as an accused and given death sentence.

Talking to the media here on Monday, Revanth Reddy alleged that the Congress party was deliberately trying to whip up hatred between the people of the two regions. He said there was need to spurn the conspiracy of the ruling party to demolish other parties.

When asked about the possibility of moving a no-confidence motion against the Kiran Kumar Reddy government afresh, Revant said it would be part of a political strategy and added that his party would think about it during the Assembly session.

Revant Reddy said his party would wage a relentless war on people’s problems and take an appropriate decision on issues. Clarifying that the TDP would not respond to hypothetical issues, he claimed that his party could alone set things right and render a stable government to the people. He alleged that there was a political uncertainty in the State.

Meanwhile, another senior leader Kadiyam Srihari has alleged that the Congress and the TRS had colluded on the Telangana issue. Stating that it was the TRS leaders, who took the Congress leaders onto the dais when ‘T’ activists obstructed them at the Samara Deeksha, Srihari said this proved the collusion between the two parties. Stating that it was the Congress that was cheating the people, Srihari questioned how the TRS leaders could share the dais with the Congress leaders. He suspected that there were attempts to totally subvert the Telangana issue.
Srihari said the TRS was blaming the TDP all along fearing its strength, and added that now it became clear that it was the Congress party that should be blamed for stretching the Telangana issue. He said it was improper on the part of the Telangana Congress leaders to keep participating in the agitation and cheat the people. He also said the Telangana JAC also needed to give an explanation for making Congress leaders a party in the movement. He demanded that the Congress leaders resign from their posts and mount pressure on the high command. He said his party would soon meet and decide about the future course of action on Telangana. (NSS)
