Congress should also do something for the Muslims: Hanumantha Rao

Congress MP of Rajya Sabha Mr. V. Hanumantha Rao met Ms. Sonia Gandhi yesterday in New Delhi and apprised her of the latest political situation in AP. He told her that TDP has announced to give 100 Assembly seats to BC’s and to allocate Rs. 2,500 crore in the sub plan of the budget if it comes to power. He expressed the need for the Congress to do something for the Muslims.

He told that Muslims contributed a lot for bringing Congress into power. In such a situation, Congress can’t keep quiet as a silent spectator. It will be a disadvantage for the Congress.

Highlighting the political situation in AP, Mr. Hanumantha Rao told Ms. Sonia Gandhi that Congress Party had promised to initiate proceeding for the formation of Telangana State, but it didn’t fulfill more than 800 youths have sacrificed their lives for the cause of Telangana. He told that if Telangana is formed, Congress will become stronger. He also made an appeal to publicize the irregularities committed by Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.
