Congress serves Privilege Notice on Kadiam

The Telangana Legislature Party has served a notice of Privilege on Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari on the charges of misleading the House.

“On March 24, the Congress party has given notice under 344 with regard to failure of the government in the implementation of SC, ST Sub-Plan Act in Telangana State. During the discussion, the Deputy CM misled the House by stating that the government is implementing the SC, ST Sub-Plan but yet to adopt the Act,” said Congress MLA SA Sampath Kumar while addressing the media at Assembly’s media point on Thursday.

Serving the Privilege Notice under Rule 168 of Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in the Telangana Legislative Assembly, Sampath Kumar said that the SC, ST Sub-Plan was introduced, passed the bill and made an Act. However, the Act is yet to be adopted. Therefore, he said that the Deputy CM’s statement saying that the government is implementing the Sub-Plan, but the Act is not adopted was completely misleading.
