Hyderabad, April 09: Having conducted the electioneering with all its force, the Congress now says that the Kadapa by-election result would not show any political impact on other districts.
“Kadapa is different from other districts. Hence, the results here will not have any impact on future elections,” its leaders claim.
According to government chief whip M Bhatti Vikramarka, the election results cannot be taken into consideration to assess the political parties performances in future elections.
Higher voting percentage in Kadapa indicates people’s emotion (towards YSR’s family members) and thus will be more advantageous to Jagan.
The current by-elections are fairer than the previous polls which were mostly rocked by violence.
Another senior leader G Niranjan said the by-elections might go in favour of late YSR’s family members since this was the first time elections took place in the district involving various political parties after the death of Rajasekhara Reddy.
As for Pulivendula, he said the Congress had the advantage since the present ‘situation’ differs from the past.
It would be a tough fight between the Congress and YSR Congress in Pulivendula.
In general, the people of Kadapa have got an impression that the development of their district was made possible because of their leader YSR, not the Congress.
