Congress leader Rashid Alvi criticised Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) here on Sunday saying that the party is not concerned about the rising inflation.
“The BJP doesn’t seem to be at all concerned about the rising inflation. One after another things are getting expensive and the government is not able to control it; be it price of onion or tomato, the people are tensed.” said Alvi.
“I had said earlier also that with this budget the inflation will increase and I think that now they will not be able to control inflation. They used to talk about bringing good days but the nation has now seen their true colours,” he added.
The prices of onion s and tomatoes have soared to around Rs 50 per kilo leaving the consumers in the city exasperated.
Decline in supply of vegetables have resulted in the increase in their prices. (ANI)
