Telangana Congress Chief P Lakshmaiah today stated that they have conducted protest dharnas at all district Collectorates against the TRS Government’s failure to keep it promises.
Speaking to reporters at Gandhi Bhavan here, he said that they will continue to take up protest programs to mount pressure on the government. He criticized that people who are fed up with the 100 days of TRS Rule today joined them in the protests. The Government has miserably failed to keep up its promises. The much hyped crop loan waiver is yet to be fulfilled, he said. There is no clarity yet from the government on this front. With no other go, the farmers are committing suicides, he expressed concern. Being the responsible opposition party, we have raised the issue at the districts, he said. ‘We will not hesitate to pull up the government if it failed to focus on poll promises. The TRS leadership is ignoring to keep the promises’ Lakshmaiah said. ‘We will fight for the cause of farmers’ he said. He ridiculed Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for his remarks that the Congress did nothing for farmers.
