Hyderabad: Laying foundation for development programs at Shadnagar along with Minister, Mahender Reddy and others, Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao today lashed out at the previous government for dumping Telangana in then combined State. However, the TRS Government was trying to see smiles on the faces of the people of the district, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, KTR said the “sins” of the Congress and the TDP for five decades cannot be cleansed in just four years and need more time to do the job, he said. Slamming the Congress leaders for causing migration in Palamur district, KTR said the TRS dispensation has completed irrigation projects and irrigating nine lakh acres. Though then Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy painted a gloomy picture of Telangana State, the present government solved the perennial problem of power crisis in just six months.
“Had upper Krishna has water for the region, Telangana will not face the problem of migration, which was due to conspiracy and lack of determination to banish poverty”, he opined. While the Centre gave just Rs 800 crore, the TRS government was spending Rs 6,500 crore on welfare programs and giving fine rice to hostel students and six kg to each person in a family, he said, adding that KCR Kits are helping the women with Rs 12,000 to Rs 13,000 and developing thandas into gram panchayats to achieve rapid growth.
He took a dig at the Congress leaders for getting envy at welfare schemes and coming up with false schemes and making charges for mileage he said. Besides giving 24 hour to farm and industry sectors the government is determined for developing the poor and farmers to become rich through unique schemes. We are for addressing the issues of all sections and encouraging professional communities to get back to past glory of eking out livelihood in villages.
To revive rural areas we launched flagship programs like mission bhagiratha, mission kakatiya, pensions, Kalyan Lakshmi, Shadi Mubarak and others. They have reached the unreached and the people are hopeful of more development if the TRS was voted back to power. We have seen this support from the people to recent Pragathi Nivedan Sabha at Kongarakalan he said.
“Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao knows the woes of the farmers and launched Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bhima to help them he said. These schemes will sure prevent the suicides and check the problems of the farmers. Since the schemes have been fructified and the Centre was appreciating them, the people of other States like Andhra Pradesh were yearning to have a chief minister like KCR”, he said. KTR also said the State government will give house sites to the journalists.
Laxma Reddy, Health Minister in his address recalled that the Kanti Velugu programme was well received by people and if need be the government would organise the eye-check up camps in Congress headquarters Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad too. He said Telangana stood first in welfare schemes in the country. The Mission Bhageeratha scheme woudl permanently solve the drinking water problem in erstwhile Mahabubnagar district. Minister P Mahendar Reddy and MP AP Jithendar Reddy listed out the welfare programmes taken up by the government.
MP Jithendar Reddy said the TRS Government had introduce as many as 465 welfare schemes for the benefit of people. He exuded confidence that the TRS would return to power.
