Congress president Sonia Gandhi Friday said the party has practiced “secularism” and will check the spread of hatred.
Accusing BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi of being keen on spreading hatred for acquiring power, Gandhi said the Congress will not allow its spread till the party is here.
The Congress president was addressing an election rally in Bihar’s Valmiki Nagar Lok Sabha constituency.
“That is why the BJP and the RSS are keen to oust the Congress,” she said.
Sonia Gandhi said the terrorist attacks in the country were not maximum during the 10-year rule of the UPA, but during the NDA’s tenure.
The accusations made by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders that the maximum number of attacks took place during the 10-year rule of the Congress-led UPA government were far from the truth.
She spoke about the Right to Information Act, the National Rural Employment Guarantee Act, and the Food Security Act, which were brought during the UPA’s tenure.
Modi has been lying that nothing has happened in the country in the last 60 years, said Sonia Gandhi adding, “it is a biggest lie ever.”
