Congress paralysed in AP: Javdekar

Tirupati, January 24: The government in Andhra Pradesh is in a state of paralysis affecting people of all sections, BJP national spokesperson Prakash Javdekar said.

Speaking to mediapersons here today, Javedkar strongly condemned the government for not providing effective relief measures to farmers in the flood-ravaged areas. The government is disoriented while the ruling party MLAs and MPs are idle, adding to the problems of people, he alleged.

The Congress betrayed Andhra people and also Telangana, he said. “Congress in the state is on the verge of declination, the countdown for its end has begun” he told. Assailing Congress for its ‘double speak’ on the Telangana issue, he claimed that the BJP is the only national party committed to a separate Telangana, which alone could pave way for peace and prosperity of both the regions.

Condemning the detention of BJYM activists proceeding to Jammu and Kashmir, he said the centre has diverted the trains in which the activists are travelling and is detaining them in some places to stop them from reaching the J&K to participate in hoisting the National Flag at Lal Chowk in Srinagar on Republic day. “The repressive act reminisces the emergency days” he said adding that the party is determined to go ahead with hoisting the national flag at Lal Chowk, come what may.

He criticised the J&K government of remaining passive to anti-national elements burning the national flag and separatists hoisting Pakistan’s flag while at the same time unleashing force on BJP activists hoisting national flag on the Republic day. “It clearly reveals that the Centre is going to strike a deal with the separatists” he told.

Saying that the party would intensify its fight against corruption and rising prices, he accused the Centre of trying to cover up the corrupt, citing the release of those accused in the CWG irregularities.

On the money stashed in Swiss Banks by politicians and bureaucrats, he criticised the prime minister of being reluctant to procure the money back. Being an expert in economics, the prime minister has failed in saving our economy, he alleged.
