The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee today objected to the flexes and banners containing advertisements of government flagship programs and schemes in Hyderabad city and surrounding areas and accused the TRS government of violating the Election Code.
In a pressnote here, the TPCC has stated that the Election Commission released poll notification on February 19 for the biennial Council elections from two Graduates constituencies i.e. Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda and Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahbubnagar. TPCC secretary G. Niranjan and other leaders lodged a complaint with the State Election Commission urging that the government advertisements should be stopped immediately. The Congress also accused Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of trying to influence the voters through his power and authority. (NSS)
