Congress is not finished in Seemandhra, says Rudraraju

Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee chief spokesperson Rudraraju Padmaraju on Tuesday claimed that although the Congress party has become weak in Seemandhra, but it is not finished.

Speaking to media persons at Indira Bhavan, the APCC headquarters, Rudraraju dismissed the claims of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu that Congress party would become extinct in Seemandhra region after ensuing elections. He contended that the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh has weakened the position of Congress in many areas, but the party still exists and would make a comeback in near future. He said that the Congress party has passed through similar situations several times in the past and every time, it bounced back with a bang.

Rudraraju accused Naidu of trying to lure the Congress leaders with hefty packages by using his illegal wealth. By admitting Congress leaders into his party, Naidu is trying to give an impression that the TDP would come to power in residuary State of Andhra Pradesh. He asked the TDP chief to stop enacting such political dramas.

The APCC leader also asked as to how TDP proposes to develop Seemandhra region. He said that the Congress-led UPA Government has already announced several packages for the Seemandhra and gave complete clarification on its vision for residuary Andhra Pradesh State. However, the TDP is just trying to catch the people’s attention by attractive slogans. Questioning the commitment of Naidu towards Seemandhra, he said Naidu should not have given letter to the Centre supporting Telangana region. (INN)
