Congress MP flays TRS Supremo

Telangana Congress leader S. Rajaiah today sarcastically said TRS Chief K Chandrasekhara Rao would not hesitate to admit even Seemandhra Congresss leader Lagadapati Rajagopal into his party if the latter gave him Rs 1,000 crores.
Talking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, the Warangal MP objected to former minister Konda Surekha for her comments against JAC chairman Prof. Kodandaram who fought for the cause of Telangana Statehood. He alleged that no doubt the KCR will not hesitate to take Rajagopal into TRS fold if such money was offered. Rajaiah accused the TRS leadership of making false promises to deceive the people.
Former minister Basavaraju Saraiah also charged KCR with provoking Konda Surekha couple to take on Prof. Kodandaram, who took the Telangana movement from street level to Delhi level. He suggested that Surekha refrain from taking on Kodandaram, who is noted for persistent efforts for the statehood. He expressed doubt that Konda couple may mar peaceful atmosphere prevailing in Warangal with group politics.
Union Minister Balaram Naik said they were not ready to give up their sitting seats in alliance. The Party high command will take a final call on the alliance with any other parties, he said, adding that they are ready to fight from home constituencies. (NSS)
