Union minister Jai Ram Ramesh asked the minority leaders of Congress to play important role in strengthening the party in Telangana and Seemandhra. A meeting of state board and district presidents of Andhra Pradesh Congress Minority Department was held at Gandhi Bhawan in which union minister met the minority leaders particularly Muslim leaders of Telangana and Seemandhra in person and sought their opinion on state bifurcation.
Leaders of both the regions welcomed the bifurcation and said that minorities are happy as Muslims would get maximum opportunities of progress in both the regions.
