Congress Minority Convention on September 12 at Sangareddy; Ghulam Nabi Azad to address

Hyderabad: Aiming at bringing minorities closer to the party, Congress is organizing a national convention on September 12. Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad will address the gathering.

Speaking to media Pradesh Congress President Uttam Kumar Reddy said that Muslims faced most injustices during TRS rule. The party which promised 12 pc Muslim reservation began dancing to the tune of BJP after coming to power. He said it forgot the promise made to Muslims to appease Prime Minister which is the result of the secret alliance of TRS and BJP.

Mr Reddy said Congress promises to implement sub-plan for minorities and funds will be spent proportionate to their population. Unemployed minority youth will be provided with the subsidy.

The leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha Ghulam Nabi Azad will arrive in Hyderabad on September 12. He will expose Rafale deal at Gandhi Bhawan and later address the minority convention at Sangareddy in the evening.
