Congress-MIM rivalry is fake: BJP

Telangana BJP president Dr. K. Lakshman on Friday alleged that the rivalry between the Congress and Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) was fake and both parties were trying to mislead the common people.

Speaking to media persons here, Lakshman said it was the Congress party which fed and nourished MIM since several years and even now they are silent allies. He said after strengthening the MIM for many decades, Congress party was now enacting the drama of rivalry with the MIM. He said both Congress and MIM would fail in their attempt to cheat the voters in next elections.

Lakshman also alleged that TRS Government was involved in several irregularities and it would be rejected by the people in 2019 elections. Therefore, he said TRS, Congress and their allies would suffer a humiliating defeat at the hands of BJP in next elections. When asked for reaction on Telangana TDP Working President A. Revanth Reddy’s possible entry into Congress, he said that the move was not politically significant. He said that Revanth Reddy was being inducted into Congress party to save a ‘sinking ship’. He said it would have zero impact on the BJP’s prospectus in Telangana State in next polls.

The BJP chief also informed that a large group of NRIs would join the party on October 22. He said party’s next executive committee meeting would be held in Mancherial on October 27th and 28th where several important decisions would be taken. (INN)
