Congress leaders today took out a “padayatra” from Gudipally III lift in Nagarkurnool mandal in Mahbubnagar district demanding that the State government complete all the pending projects in the district. Congress MP Nandi Ellaiah, MLA D K Aruna and others participated in the padayatra.
Speaking on the occasion, Aruna advised the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and his nephew Major Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao to stop criticizing her. Alleging that the TRS government lacks sincerity in completing Palamuru projects, she said the Congress government had spent Rs 7,000 crore on Palamuru projects. The projects will be completed if the TRS government spent Rs 1,000 crore. She also said the works were not launched even after a month elapsed after laying foundation stone for Palamuru-Rangareddy project. (NSS)
