Congress is exploring to form its Govt. in the proposed two States of Andhra and Telangana. The present strength of A.P. Assembly is 294. In the event of bifurcation, Telangana Assembly will get 119 MLA’s whereas Andhra will get 179 MLA’s. In order to form a Govt., any party would need the support of 60 MLA’s where as in Andhra it requires 88 MLA’s. In Seema Andhra area Congress has 97 MLA’s, which is more than the simple majority. In Telangana, Congress has only 49 MLA’s, it needs the support of 11 more members.
It is understood that a Congress leader from Telangana belonging to Reddy Community would be nominated as C.M. Since out of 49 MLA’s 20 MLA’s belong to Reddy Community. In such a case Union Minister, Mr. S.Jaipal Reddy, State Minister Mr. K.Jana Reddy or Mr. M.Shashidhar Reddy, son of former C.M. of A.P. Dr. M.Channa Reddy are likely to be the C.M. of Telangana. In the same manner the probable C.M. of A.P. Region would be APCC President, Mr. B.Satyanarayana, Union Minister, Mr. K.Chiranjevi or Ms.D.Purandeshwari.
Mr. N.Kiran Kumar Reddy will be the last C.M. of integrated A.P. whose name will go in history.
