Telangana Congress Manifesto Committee chairman D Sridhar Babu on Monday announced that the manifesto for the new State for ensuing elections would be released in the first week of April.
Speaking to media persons after participating in the Ugadi celebrations at Gandhi Bhavan here, Sridhar Babu said that the Manifesto Committee have made several suggestions to the Congress High Command for their inclusion in the manifesto. They include needs of different sections of the society, especially the Scheduled Castes, STs, BCs, minorities and other weaker sections. He said a comprehensive development plan would be announced in the party’s manifesto.
Sridhar Babu said that the Congress party was strong in Telangana region and it would certainly come to power in the forthcoming elections.
Earlier, senior leaders of Congress party including P Narsa Reddy, Mohammad Ali Shabbir, M Satyanarayana Rao and others participated in the Ugadi celebrations. (INN)
