Congress leaders in three groups

Hyderabad, October 28: A meeting of the agitating Telangana leaders will be held today at central court hotel to formulate a common strategy for getting Telangana state. A policy decision will be taken in the meeting to get a developed T-state.

The leaders of Telangana have been divided into three groups. There is a group of ministers, the second groups is that of the MP’s and the third group consists of MLA’s.

The groups of ministers and MLA’s are against adopting an aggressive attitude of the MP’s. Telangana Congress Steering Committee is confined to MP’s only. Ministers and MLA’s are keeping themselves away from its meetings. Only those ministers who have resigned from Assembly seats are attending its meeting. All the ministers, MLA’s and MP’s had resigned on 4th July exhibiting their unity. During the past three months the stand of the ministers and MLA’s has changed. Telangana Steering Committee had given a call for ‘Rail Roko’ programme for which the ministers and MLA’s didn’t extend their support. When the general strike of the employees was at its peak, 13 MLA’s had made an appeal to call off the strike in view of the inconvenience of the public.

This was criticized not only by Congressmen but also by opposition parties. The MLA’s who have been elected for the first time have convened a meeting on “How long should the strike continue? Why not progress? These members as demanding for the development of Telangana.
