YSR Congress leader Gone Prakash Rao has alleged that some Congress leaders were criticizing late chief minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy as they wish to safeguard their own positions.
Talking to the media here on Sunday, Gone told the critics of YSR to remember that AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi himself had said that there was tremendous development during the rule of Dr Reddy. He also said that AICC leaders themselves were realizing that they had done a great blunder by sending Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy out of the party.
Gone has warned leaders of the ruling party that if they criticize YSR for electoral benefits, Congress would be routed in the ensuing by-elections. He said that those who got positions and benefits through YSR were now stooping to the level of attacking him. He said that there would be a political crisis after the by-elections.
It may be mentioned here that earlier in the day, YSR Congress official spokesperson Ambati Rambabu said there was the possibility of mid-term poll in the State. (NSS)
