Hyderabad, July 9: Telangna Rashtra Samithi has expressed regrets over the reports of softness in Congress leaders’ attitude after intervention of high command on resignation issue. Party said that public representatives of Telangana should stick to their resignation till Telangana formation, respecting the sentiments of people.
Party MLA Harish Rao and politburo member Mahmood Ali commenting upon the current situation said that high command is trying to influence Telangana leaders through various manners and they are prompted to withdraw resignations in the name of dialogue.
TRS leaders asserted that withdrawal of the resignations would tantamount to deceiving Telangana people and they would be counted among traitors of Telangana movement.
Harish Rao and Mahmood Ali proposed to hold referendum in Telangana in order to know public opinion.
