Hyderabad, March 21: Claiming that Congress president and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi was very keen on implementation of four percent reservation to Muslims in education and employment sectors, Chief Minister K Rosaiah Saturday exuded confidence that the Congress Government would be successful in its efforts to win the case in Supreme Court.
“There is no rethinking on the issue of implementation of four percent reservations to Muslim minorities.
The Congress party is committed for its implementation.
Sonia Gandhi told me that she, if necessary, will also intervene and speak to the people concerned on the issue,’’he added.
Addressing a Muslim minorities’ meeting organised by the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) at Prakasam hall in Gandhi Bhavan here Saturday, the Chief Minister asserted that the Congress Government would not leave any stone unturned towards implementation of Muslim quota in the State.
APCC chief D Srinivas, who presided over the meeting, said that the ruling Congress would go `all out’ in its efforts towards implementation of Muslim reservations.
