Congress keen on disrupting House only: Harish

Legislature Affairs Minister T Harish Rao today excoriated the Congress for making a hue and cry to tarnish the image of the State government by staging protests at the podium during the first day of the winter session of Assembly.

Harish Rao expressed displeasure at the Congress for creating ruckus at the Assembly and conducting Chalo Assembly protest before the House began. The Congress leaders staged protests at the House only to prevent Leader of the Opposition K Jana Reddy from giving his voice, Harish said. The Congress members should mend their behavior and come for debate on any issue for any number of days, he said. “Every member will get a chance to speak in the House and the Congress alone cannot steal the show.

It is not right for the Opposition to take up protests and stall the proceedings, the minister said. The Government has decided to hold business for 50 days and the Opposition was reluctant to it, he fumed. With no subject, the Congress was creating hurdles in the House he charged. During combined State, Congress leaders took away Telangana waters illegally and now the TRS Government has turned all the pending projects into running projects, Harish claimed. (NSS)
