The Congress High Command has summoned top leaders from Telangana to New Delhi on Monday.
According to sources, AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh has asked TPCC President N. Uttam Kumar Reddy and Leaders of Opposition K. Jana Reddy (Assembly) and Mohammed Ali Shabbir (Council) to come to New Delhi on Monday. They are likely to discuss the reasons for party’s dismal performance in recently held by-elections for Warangal Lok Sabha seat. Further, they will finalise the strategy for elections for 12 MLC seats from Local Area Constituencies.
The Congress leaders will also discuss the plan for forthcoming Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections. The Telangana Congress leaders are likely to meet AICC President Sonia Gandhi and Vice-President Rahul Gandhi. (INN)
