Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu on Monday accused the Congress Government of having failed on all fronts.
Addressing a press conference at Kakinada, Naidu said that the administration has come to a halt at all levels and all systems need to be resorted. He said while the corruption was at its peak, the leaders of ruling party were found involved in many irregularities. He also accused the Congress and YSR Congress of indulging in ‘match fixing’ to stage a political drama in order to shield their leaders from corruption charges.
Referring to YSR Congress president Jaganmohan Reddy, the TDP president asked the people to take a conscious decision on the candidates to vote for in the ensuing by-elections. He said the voters would have to decide whether they would vote for the leaders who live among them or would they vote for those living in prison.
Later, addressing an election meeting in Narasannapeta of Srikakuklam district, Naidu alleged that Roads and Buildings Minister B Dharmana Prasada Rao was involved in several irregularities and he too would land in prison soon.
Naidu also accused the Congress and YSR Congress party of indulging in horse-trading and said the culture of luring MLAs or MPs from other parties was invented by the Congress party. He said the TDP never practiced such tactics. (INN)
