TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu today said the Congress party fell in its own grave dug by it.
Speaking after welcoming former minister Galla Aruna, her industrialist son Jaidev and former MP Gunupati Ramaiah into his party, Chandrababu alleged that AICC president Sonia Gandhi did not bother when suggestions were made to consult people of both regions before taking a final decision on bifurcation of the State. “Even the people of Telangana never thought that injustice would be meted out to Seemandhra. But Sonia Gandhi did injustice to the region”, he alleged.
Opposing announcement of “Appointed Day” for two States as June 2, the former chief minister said it was unfortunate that June 2 is Independence Day of Italy. Naidu urged the Seemandhra people to support the TDP and help win all the 25 Lok Sabha seats if Seemandhra region is to be developed which would face huge losses after bifurcation.
Referring to YSRC president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, the TDP chief said it was very unfortunate that “we have to fight elections in the Seemandhra with a psycho. Unable to bear his belligerent son, late YSR had sent Jagan to Bengaluru, he alleged.
The TDP president alleged that Jagan has mortgaged self-respect of Telugu people by falling on the feet of Sonia Gandhi for securing bail. Exhorting the people to think twice about Jagan, who looted the exchequer, Naidu said if the psycho wins elections, the fate of the people would be unimaginable. (NSS)
