New Delhi, July 26 : Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh on Sunday asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to speak up on the corruption charges that have leveled against his Cabinet colleagues and BJP leaders.
“People have elected the Modi Government and not Bharatiya Janata Party’s Government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi should answer on (External Affairs Minister) Sushma Swaraj,” Singh told the media here.
“Modi should answer the public with regard with the corruption charges on (Rajasthan Chief Minister) Vasundhara Raje and (Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister) Shivraj Singh Chouhan,” he added.
The Congress has been gunning for the resignations of Raje and Chouhan over the Lalit Modi controversy and the Vyapam scam.
The Monsoon Session of the Parliament has so far been plagued by chaos over the Vyapam scam and Lalit Modi controversy, with an unrelenting opposition leading to noisy scenes and repeated adjournments. (ANI)
