New Delhi, October 11: A meeting of the Congress Core Group will be held this evening to decide on the final position on the issue of a separate state of Telangana, party sources said.
The Core Group meeting is being held in wake of a threat by Congress MPs from Telangana region that they would intensify their agitation unless the Centre takes an early decision on the issue.
Several rounds of consultations have been held by the party top brass over the past few days on the issue of Telangana.
Agitation for a separate state of Telangana has paralysed life in the region over the past few weeks.
