Congress condemns KTR’s “Loafer Comments”

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief Spokesperson Dr. Sravan Dasoju has strongly condemned IT Minister K. Tarakarama Rao wherein he called Congress a “loafer party” and demanded that he should be booked under Section 506 and 507 IPC.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Thursday, Sravan reminded that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao himself had started his political career from Congress party. He asked whether KTR considers his father KCR too as a “loafer”. He asked whether leaders including D. Srinivas, K. Keshava Rao and K.R. Amos, who had served on various top positions in Congress party before joining TRS, were also “loafers”.

Sravan said that KTR was not eligible to speak on political morality. He said KCR had made several promises like making a Dalit Chief Minister, provide KG to PG free education and provide 12% reservation for Muslims and STs. However, he said not a single promise has been fulfilled. He said leaders who played a major role in Telangana formation were implicated in false cases by TRS Government. They have been sent to jail under PD Act. He said people like Cheruku Sudhakar, Chinna Mallaiah, Raghunandan Rao, Ale Narendra and Vijaya Shanti, who were once closed to KCR, knows the real truth about KCR family.

The Congress leader alleged that KCR has inducted traitors of Telangana movement in his cabinet while his government has been arrested those who gave sacrifices for statehood cause. He said leaders like Kadiam Srihari of Warangal, Talasani Srinivas Yadav of Hyderabad, Tummala Nageshwara Rao of Khammam and Mahender Reddy of Ranga Reddy district were made ministers while those participated in the movement are now forced to stand with folded hands before the traitors of Telangana.

He also alleged that KCR was a prime suspect in a fake currency racket in 1998 and his name also surfaced in a human trafficking racket.

Sravan said that the TRS have entered into a secret alliance with the BJP. He said when Prime Minister Narender Modi was spitting venom against Telangana in the Parliament, TRS MPs remained silent while Congress members lodged strong protest. He said the silence of TRS MPs clearly show that the party has entered into a secret alliance with the BJP to protect itself from the wrath of CBI.

The Congress leader said that the Telangana Government has given proposals for Rs. 40,000 crore. However, the Centre has sanctioned only Rs. 1,000 crore for Telangana. “Does it not reflect the inefficiency of TRS Government?” he asked. He said it was strange that KTR has been attacking Congress party which granted Telangana. However, he is silent on PM Modi who indirectly ridiculed formation of Telangana and also denying the States its deserved share in budget allocations. He said instead of indulging in ‘vulgar politics’ KTR should focus on fighting with the BJP Government at the Centre to get additional funds and also the assurances made in the Reorgnaisation Act for Telangana State.

Sravan has described KTR as the epicentre of corruption and irregularities. He asked the government to clarify on its Rs. 2500 crore agreement with Lolo Company. Similarly, he said wrong publicity was done on TS Government’s MoU with Tech Mahender company in Davos.

He said thousands of crores of rupees have been swindled or misappropriated in the name of Mission Bhagiratha and KTR ws bound to go to jail in future.
