Congress complains to CEO against YSRC

A delegation of Congress leaders on Thursday met the State Election Officer Banwarlal and lodged a complaint against the YSR Congress party.

In the complaint, the Congress leaders urged Banwarlal to treat the publicity on late YSR’s welfare schemes in the Sakshi media as expenditure incurred by the contesting candidates. They also complained about the excessive use of vehicles in the electioneering by the YSRC candidates in gross violation of the Election Code of Conduct.

The Congress leaders complained that the YSRC was spending about Rs 20 lakhs a day on the activists accompanying the YSRC honorary president Vijayamma. This expenditure also should be added to the expenses being incurred by the candidates, they added. (NSS)
