MLA and Congress leader Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Wednesday said that he would approach the High Court if the state government goes ahead with its plan to raze down the existing Secretariat blocks to construct new building.
Terming the decision of the state government to construct the new Secretariat building, the Congress leader said that the TRS government was focusing on Vaastu compliance of government building rather than concentrating on welfare of the people. He alleged that the state government was wasting public money by going for new building unnecessarily.
At a time when farmers, students and poor are suffering due to lack of funds for various sectors the government is planning to spend crores of rupees to build new secretariat which is against the democratic spirit, the Congress MLA remarked. (INN)
