Congress legislature Party alleged TDP that it is trying to exploit flood situation for gaining political mileage out of it and claimed that Govt. is taking steps on war footings to perform relief work in the flood affected areas. Govt. whips in Legislative Council, Mr. Shivarama Reddy and Padma Raju while addressing the newsmen at a press conference at Congress Legislature Party office said that Govt. has already mobilized its official machinery for relief work. Congress Party cadre is also extending its support to Govt.
C.M. Mr. Kiran Kumar Reddy, Mr. Botsa Satyanarayana, Congress President, Ministers and Local MLA’s are helping the flood victims. Family members of the deceased are being given Rs.1.5 lakh as ex-gratia, Rice, Kerosine and other articles of basic needs are being supplied to the victims. Ms. Sonia Gandhi & Dr. Manmohan Singh talked to the C.M. and elicited the details of the flood.
They told that TDP President Mr. Naidu and YSR Congress honorary President, Ms. Vijayalakshmi are trying to get political mileage by exploiting the flood situation for fulfilling their vested interests. Congress Party bitterly condemns their attempts. C.M. has apprised of the details of flood to Central leaders. A team will visit the State soon to assess the quantum of losses.
