Congress attack AAP Government over petrol and diesel prices

New Delhi: Attacking the Delhi Government over the increase in petrol and diesel prices, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh on Wednesday said if the Arvind Kejriwal-led dispensation spends Rs 500 crores on advertising then it would seek to raise funds from some other source.

“If Rs 500 crore has been spent on the media, then funds would be raised from some sources or the other,” said Digvijaya.

Meanwhile, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Raghav Chadha justified the hike, saying it was meant to avoid geographical tax arbitrage and trade malpractices.

The AAP Government is facing flak from various quarters after petrol prices were hiked by Rs. 2.78 per litre (approximately) while diesel became dearer by Rs. 1.83 per litre (approximately). (ANI)
