The main Opposition Congress has said it would corner the ruling party on farmers’ suicides and alleged encounter of Maoists in Warangal in the Assembly starting from September 23.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday, along with former minister D Sridhar Babu, TPCC working president and CLP deputy leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka alleged that farmers, who dreamt of Bangaru Telangana with the creation of separate State, were committing suicides due to meaningless decisions of the TRS government. Bhatti alleged that disillusioned farmers were committing suicides due to faulty implementation of loan waiver scheme.
Bhatti alleged that the Chief Minister’s family and four other contractors were preparing a plan to swallow Rs 2 lakh crore in the name of projects redesigning and Water Grid. He alleged that unemployed youth were looking towards Maoism due to the TRS government’s utter failure to provide jobs to them. He also described the encounter of Maoists Sruthi and Sagar as the best example for State’s violence and made it clear that the Congress would pull up KCR’s undemocratic actions in the House. (NSS)
