Cong. to file PIL on cash-for-vote scam as Naidu voice proved: Diggy

Former Union minister and AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh today said his party leaders will file a PIL on cash-for-vote scam in which Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu’s voice was proved. Both the chief ministers – Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrasekhar Rao — are involved in the scam, which should be proved by the CBI to bring out the truth, he said.

The AICC leader paid floral tributes to former PV Narsimha Rao on his 94th birth anniversary at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday. Later, talking to mediapersons, the Congress leader while seeking CBI inquiry into the cash scam to bring facts, he also flayed Naidu for raking up Section 8 and his Telangana counterpart K Chandrasekhar Rao for not opposing in Parliament when the related bill was getting passed. The AICC leader felt that there was no need of making a hue and cry on the Section 8 in Hyderabad as of now.
Though the two CMs are good politicians, they were involved in the cash scam, he charged. He opined that judiciary will take steps to address the issues of cash scam through which the issue can be taken to logical end and bring facts to light. He also said Naidu’s comment of tapping his phone is tantamount to accepting to his crime.
Digvijay Singh also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of protecting Lalit Modi despite the demand to react on the issue. Though External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje admitted to have extended cooperation to Lalit Modi in some way or other, Narendra Modi was not responding, he fumed. He also alleged that Union Human Resources Development Minister Smrithi Irani has fake degree certificate. Modi is ought to react on these issues, he added. (NSS)
