Notwithstanding efforts of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, state Congress president Botsa Satyanarayana and the party leadership to mollify them, Telangana Congress MPs, MLAs and MLCs asserted that they would resign from their posts tomorrow.

The Telangana Congress MPs are not kids to be mollified or placated, Congress Rajya Sabha member K Keshav Rao said.

In Delhi, Congress spokesperson Manish Tewari said, “geopolitical gerrymandering especially when it pertains to proposed redrawing of a state boundary, is a very complex, intricate and sensitive business”.

He said the “first requisite of such an exercise is patience and patience as conflicting aspirations of various stakeholders have to be reconciled in a harmonious manner. It is especially true in the Andhra/Telangana matter”.

Meanwhile, the first set of resignations for Telangana cause were handed over today by suspended TDP MLA Nagam Janardhan Reddy and three rebel TDP MLAs K Harishwar Reddy, S Venugopala Chary and Jogu Ramanna.
