Cong, TDP Legislators playing dramas on resignations: Harish Rao

Hyderabad, August 01: Telangana Rashtra Samithi Deputy Floor Leader in the State Assembly T Harish Rao on Sunday alleged that the Congress and Telugu Desam Party members are ‘playing dramas’ on resignations.

Addressing a gathering after releasing of `Kandena’ a magazine at Basheer Bagh Press Club, Harish Rao stated that both the Congress and Telugu Desam Party members are dillydallying on resignations despite TRS members submitting resignation afresh for the cause of separate statehood.

“What is the reason behind the Congress and TDP members backtracking on their resignations? Why are they dillydallying on the issue?” the TRS leader questioned.

Speaking at the same meeting, senior Telugu Desam Party leader Kadiam Srihari blamed political parties for not looking the statehood agitation through the people’s eyes.

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader Bandaru Laxman alleged that Congress In-Charge of State Affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad was holding talks with Telangana Congress leaders to put an end to political uncertainty and was not focusing his attention on solving the Telangana crisis.

He appealed to the Congress leaders at open their eyes and work towards achieving the separate Telangana state ‘at least now and not fall in Mr Azad’s trap.’

Mr Laxman added that his party is ready to work with like-minded parties for the cause of Telangana state formation.
