Hyderabad, August 03: Mr T. Harish Rao, Siddipet MLA and deputy floor leader in the Assembly said that the people of the region taught a fitting lesson to both the ruling Congress and the main Opposition Telugu Desam party as both betrayed the TRS party after the 2004 and 2009 Assembly elections. He also asked both the major parties to stop criticising the TRS and introspect themselves.
Pointing out that both the parties could not even save their deposits in the by-elections, Mr Harish Rao warned them that their credibility would be eroded in the region in the near future if they failed to learn lessons from their blunders. He also advised the Congress and TDP leaders of Telangana to join them in their struggle for creation of Telangana state.
All the 11 re-elected MLAs of the TRS party dedicated their historic victory in the by-polls to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the cause of Telangana.
