Congress leadership has taken a serious view of party MP Sabbam Hari and MLA Alla Nani accompanying YSR Congress chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to the Dil Kusha Guest House, the makeshift camp office of the CBI on Friday morning.
PCC is getting ready to issue show-cause notice to Alla Nani and recommending to the Congress High Command to take action against the Anakapalle MP. The Congress leadership was very much embarrassed when Nani and Hari have traveled in the same car with Jagan to the CBI temporary office.
Reacting to this, the TDP alleged that this has shown a clear match-fixing between the Congress and the YSR Congress. Party leader Revanth Reddy has pointed out that the TDP has suspended party leader M V Mysoora Reddy for meeting Jagan and questioned why Congress was not able to take such swift action against party leaders supporting Jagan.
Media persons have also asked PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana embarrassing questions about Hari and Nani accompanying Jagan. Botcha has asserted that indiscipline would not be tolerated and action would be taken against all those who were supporting Jagan.
Soon afterwards, the Congress State leadership has taken a decision to issue show-cause notice to Nani and recommend action against the MP to the party High Command. It was felt that laxity in acting against MLAs supporting Jagan had resulted in 18 legislators leaving the party.
Sabbam Hari has been a staunch supporter of Jagan ever since he left the Congress and launched the YSR Congress. He was also expected to resign when Nellore MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy quit the Congress. Hari then said that he stayed back in Congress only on the advice of Jagan and would quit the ruling party the minute Jagan asked him to do so. At every possible forum, Sabbam Hari has been extending support to Jagan, though he has not made any serious allegations against the Chief Minister or other top leaders of the party. He has also been careful about not criticizing the Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Alla Nani has also been supporting Jagan ever since he came out of Congress. He was with Jagan until the TDP moved a no-confidence motion against the government. It was then felt that he would also vote against the government. However, unexpectedly, he had voted for the government. Nani has been continuing as Congress MLA ever since. But, suddenly he surfaced on the side of Jagan on Friday and accompanied him to the CBI office. Congress leaders, who were surprised at the sudden development, however, want to act sternly in his case.
