Cong suffering from Emergency mindset: BJP

New Delhi, June 14: BJP today accused Congress of suffering from a “Emergency mindset” and alleged its “unwillingness” to fight corruption was visible in Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s “silence and inaction” against union minister Dayanidhi Maran in row over 2G scam.

“Government’s unwillingness to act tough against corruption is on display in case of Maran. He should have been sacked by now. Why is the PM silent on the issue? Or is he waiting for Supreme Court’s strictures once again?” BJP spokesperson Prakash Javadekar said.

He maintained it is well-known that the government acted against Commonwealth Games accused Suresh Kalmadi, DMK MP Kanimozhi and former Telecom Minister A Raja only because the Supreme Court is monitoring the investigations into 2G scam and the CWG case.

“Government has done nothing in the case.
