Cong Programs on Government Failures

TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy has informed that the Congress party would organize a public meeting on October 19 at Sherilingampally questioning the TRS government to explain about the  one lakh double bed room houses in Hyderabad city assurance,  and expressing protest against the condition of the roads in Hyderabad city.

Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday, Uttam alleged that he never saw the present condition of the roads earlier. “I took birth here and brought up here but I never saw such deteriorated condition of roads now witnessing in Hyderabad city”, he said. He said that the AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh and secretary RC Kuntia, AICC SC Cell Chairman Koppula Raju would attend the Rajiv Gandhi Sadbhavana Yatra Commemoration Day meeting to be held at Charminar on the same day.

He said that the  party would also organize a ‘Rythu Garjana Public Meeting’ at Mahabubabad protesting against the TRS government’s attitude towards loan waiver of the farmers in the State. He also said that the party would take up signature campaign from October 21 onwards in collaboration with Youth Congress across the state demanding the State government to implement the Fees Re-imbursement Scheme properly by releasing Rs.2000 crore to it.

Cong Agenda

Refuting the TRS party allegation that the Congress party was working in the state without having any agenda, TPCC Vice-President Mallu Ravi  said that the Congress party’s present agenda was the ‘Failures of the TRS Government’ only.

He  alleged that the TRS government failed to fulfill its assurances—loan waiver to the farmers, double bed room houses to the poor, 12 percent reservation to the Muslims, three acre land for the daltihs etc, made by it during 2014 elections. He alleged that the Congress party was working on behalf of the people to mount  pressure on the ruling party to fulfill the assurances made by it.

Stating that the Congress party has a big agenda against the ruling party, Ravi warned the TRS government that the people would teach a fitting lesson at an appropriate time in case it failed to fulfill its assurances. (NSS)
