Hyderabad, January 22: Convening a meeting at Gandhi Bhawan on Saturday, the Muslim leaders of the Congress urged the chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to allocate 1079 rupees for the welfare and prosperity of minorities in the next budget.
President Pradesh Congress Minority department, Mohammad Sirajuddin chaired the meeting. Former MLC Mr. Sultan Ahmed, general secretary Pradesh Congress committee Mr. Abid Rasool Khan, Secretaries Pradesh Congress committee Mr. Raza Husain Azad, Mr. Mohammad Abdul Ghani, vice chairman Pradesh Congress minority department Mr. Mir Hadi Ali, Mr. Khaja Raheemuddin, convenor Mr. Mohammad Ismail Husain and others were also present.
All the leaders unanimously passed a resolution demanding to allocate minority budget of 1079 rupees in the year 2012-2013. A delegation of Muslim leaders will present this resolution with the chief minister in the form of a memorandum, demanding hike in the minority budget.
