Cong leaders say Modi govt misleading Gujarat

Rajkot, March 21: Charging the Narendra Modi-led government in Gujarat of misleading the people and wasting money on self-praise, Congress leaders today asked them to work with the party to oust the BJP from power.

Union Ministers Sachin Pilot, Dinsha Patel and Congress leaders of the state including Opposition Leader in state Assembly Shaktisinh Gohil and state unit president Siddharth Patel were taking part in a convention organised to mark the party’s 125th year.

Addressing a large gathering Minister of State for Communications and Technology Sachin Pilot asserted the Congress was the only political party which believed in impartiality and was concerned about farmers’ welfare.

Gohil alleged the Modi government had kept people of Gujarat in fear and put BPL (below poverty line) card holders in an awkward position by holding ‘Garib Kalyan Mela’.
