Government Chief Whip in the Legislative Assembly Gandra Venkatramana Reddy has said that the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was not a ‘Daddamma’, but a ‘Dammuna’ leader.
Speaking to the media at CLP office here on Friday, along with School Education Minister Dr S Sailajanath, Gandra has found fault with the CPM State secretary BV Raghavulu for dubbing the Chief Minister as ‘Daddamma’(weak), and warned the latter that he has to face the ire of the Congress activists in case he failed to take back his remarks against the Chief Minister. He described the decision of cancellation of lands allotted to the Brahmani Steels was a ‘Dammuna’ (bold) decision.
On the other hand, Sailajanath has described the Chief Minister as Daliths ‘Athma Bhanduvu’ and said that it was not correct on the part of the opposition leaders to criticize the Chief Minister, out of jealousy, though the latter did good work. He said that it was painful to describe the Chief Minister as ‘Dalith Drohi’ by Raghavulu. He said that the Chief Minister had strived in providing statutory status to the SC, ST Sub-Plan. He said that the Kiran Kumar Reddy government was spending crores of rupees for the sake of daliths and added that the government was taking steps to provide job opportunities to the SCs and STs.
He said that the Congress government was a government that works for the sake of people and it is a peoples’ government. (NSS)
