Cong Leaders filling-Up Nominated Posts

Stating that it was high time for the PCC Chief Botcha Sathyanarayana and Chief N Kiran Kumar Reddy to fill the vacant nominated posts and party executive posts, the party in-charges of the districts where the recent bye-elections were held have said that the traditional vote bank of the Congress party -SCs, STs BCs and Minorities, have distanced from the party and hence the debacle of the party.

The PCC Chief has held a meeting with the in-charges at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday. It is learnt that the in-charges have made it clear to Botcha that the party leaders have to leave their hopes on the traditional vote bank. The traditional vote bank was no more with the Congress party. The party has to think on the fact seriously and make efforts to bring back the vote bank. They also complained that the ministers who participated in the bye-election campaign had not worked seriously. They said that the party position in the districts was very bad and it was time to ensure that the party was strengthened from village level immediately.

Referring to the Ananthapur result, the in-charges have said that the party had fielded a Minority woman candidate, who failed to attract her own community voters, and this means the minorities were no more with the party.

They also explained to the PCC Chief that the TRS had overcome the defeat with the help of local Congress and TDP leaders in Parakala constituency.

They said that it was high time to give nominated posts to the leaders and strive to strengthen the party from the grass-root level. (NSS)
