Cong. leaders discuss MLC, GHMC polls

The high priests of Telangana Congress party, today met at Gandhi Bhavan and thoroughly discussed about the MLC and the ensuing GHMC elections in the State.

TPCC president Uttam Kumar Reddy, working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarkha, former deputy chief minister Damodara Rajanarasimha, former ministers Dr Geeta Reddy, Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Sridhar Babu, Leader of the Opposition in Telangana Council Shabbir Ali and others participated in the deliberations.

Speaking to the media later, Uttam Kumar Reddy said they have extensively discussed about the ensuing GHMC elections and the MLC elections. However, no final decision has been taken on the subjects, he said, adding they would meet once again to take a final decision.

Dr Geeta to remain in Congress only

Meanwhile, reacting to reports in a section of the media about her future plans, Dr Geeta Reddy stoutly condemned the reports which stated that she was contemplating to join the ruling TRS. Making it clear that she would not leave the party and remain in the Congress under any circumstances, Geeta Reddy said there was no iota of truth in the press reports. (NSS)
