Cong. leaders bid farewell to Hajj pilgrims

Hyderabad: Telangana Congress Committee leaders flagged off the 5th batch of Hajj pilgrims on Wednesday. Telangana Legislative Council leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir, leader of opposition in the assembly Jana Reddy and Pradesh Congress Committee president Uttam Kumar Reddy bid farewell to the pilgrims of Hajj 2017. They appealed the pilgrims to pray for prevalence of secularism and peace in the country.

2250 pilgrims of 5 batches have embarked for the Holy pilgrimage through Saudi Airlines so far.

While addressing the pilgrims Mr. Shabbir recalled that when he was minister in Congress rule, he had acquired Razzaq Manzil property and handed over to Waqf Board. The property was acquired under land acquisition in 2005. He further informed that the open land abutting Hajj House was bought during Congress rule at the cost of Rs. 22 crore.
