Congress senior leader Kotagiri Vidyadhara Rao has said that the farmers were facing severe scarcity of seeds and urged the State Government to take steps to solve the problem on a war path.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Thursday along with the PCC official spokes person Dr N Tulasi Reddy, Kotagiri said that there was an urgent need for the government to take comprehensive steps in distributing the seeds and fertilizers. He also urged the government to increase the Minimum Support Price (MSP) to the crops of the farmers keeping the price hike in fertilizers in view.
Finding fault with the opposition parties’ criticism on the state government, Tulasi Reddy said that the State was in third place in the country in implementing the National Rural Employment Scheme. (NSS)
