Kumari who was in a Padyatra from Chennai to Kanyakumari got fainted on Tuesday. He was performing the Padyatra demanding complete liquor prohibition in Tamil Nadu.
He got fainted at Moondradaippu near Nanguneri as per police reports.
The 82- year old fainted after resuming his Padyatra from Panankulam in Tirunelvi district.
He was soon rushed to a private hospital by the Police. Doctors strongly recommended him to rest . They also said that his heart’s condition is very weak.
Although he gained consciousness, but doctors have strongly advised him to have complete rest.
He was admitted to the ICU, but his condition is stable now, they said.
Police said he had fainted on the 47th day of his padayatra.
