Union minister for urban development and parliamentary affairs M Venkaiah Naidu today alleged that unable to digest its humiliating defeat, and the growing popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress is spreading canards and indulging in disinformation campaign.
Addressing a function of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Jayanthi celebration organized at the state party office here, Venkaiah Naidu accused the Congress of shedding crocodile tears for farmers, though it had acquired lakhs of acres of land and robbed poor farmers of their livelihood in last ten years of their rule. He further stated that Congress has acquired 80,000 acres of farmers land in Haryana and 5.70 lakh acres in united Andhra Pradesh in the name of SEZs without consent of the farmers.
Taking a dig at Congress party, he said having committed atrocities for ten years, they ( Congress) are shamelessly holding Kisan rallies now.
The union minister said people knew that BJP’s ideology and policies are ‘Sri Rama Raksha’ for India. The party is on a winning spree in seven state assembly elections in a row and municipal elections in Assam, Punjab, Rajastha, Madhya Pradesh and Bangalore.
Inspire by Deendayalji’s philosophy, Modi government believes in uplift of poorest of the poor and “Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas policy”. But communal, cast and corrupt forces are trying to realign to defame BJP government through disinformation campaign, Venkaiah asserted. He called upon party workers to propagate and popularize central government schemes like Jan Dhan Yojana, Suraksha Bhima Yojana, Jeevan Jyoti Bhima Yojana, minimum pension scheme, Atal Pension Yojana and Mudra bank yojana.
There was a need to rededicate ourselves to the philosophy of “Esatma Manavatavaad and Sab Ka Saath Sab Ka Vikas” and ready for next challenge of fighting our ideological opponents politically and counter their disinformation campaign, he added. The function was attended by union labour minister Bandaru Dattatreya, Telangana BJP president G Kishan Reddy, MLAs Dr Laxman, NVSS Prabhakar and Chintala Ramachandra Reddy, MLC Ramachandar Rao, Indrasen Reddy, Baddam Balreddy, former DGP Dinesh Reddy and large number of party workers including women activists.(NSS)
